Having been working in the States for more than 20 years, Dean QIAN Yingyi believed that the School needs to have more professors, who have profound academic and research background as well as overseas teaching experience. He observed that North America has a large market for talents in economics and management. Annual meetings for organizations like the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, the American Management Association and the American Marketing Association always attract attention from a variety of well-known scholars and professors. Each year, led by the Dean, SEM sends delegation to attend the conferences in order to attract and recruit talented young scholars as well as experienced senior professors to join the faculty of Tsinghua SEM.
