Speaker's BIO
Dr. Kevin Kang is a Senior Economist at Eaton Corporation, a premier diversified industrial company with 2010 sales of $14 billion. Dr. Kang is responsible for economic research of the Asia Pacific region, the global vehicle (auto and truck) industry, and the metal commodity market. Prior to joining Eaton, Dr. Kang was an economist at the RAND Corporation and led several research related to Asia Pacific. He published a book on China’s corporate governance and finished a study that compared foreign direct investment in China and India. Dr. Kang also worked as a chief economist at the Samsung Economic Research Institute, leadingat analyzed industry and corporate strategy. Dr. Kang received his doctorate in managerial economics from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania and B.A. in International Economics from Peking University. He is a member of the American Economic Association, Academy of Management, and National Association for Business Economics and a co-founder of the Global Economic Roundtable (GER) in Cleveland.
